Antonella Battaglini

Chairwoman

Antonella works at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). As a senior researcher she is responsible for the SuperSmart Grid and the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI). She is founding member of TheCompensators*.

Giulia Carboni
Vice-Chairwoman

Giulia works as Project Adviser for the LIFE Programme at the Executive Agency for SME of the European Commission in Brussels. She joined TheCompensators* in 2009.

Marit Berchner

Vice-Chairwoman

Marit is a Mercator Fellow on International Affairs, focusing on policies for a sustainable supply of both energy and water. She joined TheCompensators* in 2013.

Armin Haas

Armin Haas

Armin is a senior researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). He works on the in the interaction of financial markets and climate change. Armin is a founding member of TheCompensators*.

Florian Oel

Florian Oel

Florian leads on the EU media relations for the anti-poverty organisation Oxfam in Brussels. A journalist by training, he also worked as an editor and reporter for the news wire AFP, and as a spokesperson at the European Commission. He joined TheCompensators* in 2009.

Kerstin Altherr

Kerstin works as a scientific coordinator for executive education programmes at the Potsdam Center for Policy and Management. She joined TheCompensators* in 2012.

Nona Schulte-Römer

Nona works as a Researcher at the Department of Urban and Environmental Sociology at the Helmholtz Centre
for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig. She joined TheCompensators* in 2012.

Marie lives in Cologne and works as a teacher for TeachFirst Germany. During her studies of economics she encountered environmental-historical topics and business ethics. As an intern in editing staffs she focused more and more on topics relating to environmental policy. She has been an active member of TheCompensators* since 2014.
